It's the perfect show for Halloween month.

*cough* I wasn't expecting much from this show- some fluffy escapism maybe- and I did find that, but I was surprised at how well-developed the plot is and how creepy the paranormal elements were. It's only a problem when a young woman is taking charge of her sexuality and putting love on the back burner. If the roles were reversed and Nick only wanted sex while Nancy was pushing for more, no one would be complaining.

The series was adapted for the CW by Noga Landau, Josh Schwartz, and Stephanie Savage and is produced by CBS Studios, in association with Fake Empire. It's almost 2020 and it is not at all uncommon for couples to start out on a more casual basis. (2019 TV series) Nancy Drew is an American mystery drama television series based on the series of mystery novels about the titular character. Speaking of iconic characters from the series, Nancy's hook-up Ned Nickerson has a dark past that threatens their burgeoning romantic relationship. The three friends start the show with an adversarial relationship, reluctantly teaming up to help solve a murder. Just as Riverdale is a grittier take on the Archie comics, Nancy Drew is a less innocent revamp of the classic book series with Nancy fresh out of high school and working side-by-side with a snooty, entitled Bess and a rough-around-the-edges George.
